Muffin day!

CHOCOLATE MUFFIN
MUFFIN COKLAT PISANG (nampak tak pisang tu?)
Lately fotopages ada problem sikit, nak upload gambar & nak letak komen kat fotopage orang. I think, many of you experienced the same thing! To cut it short, today I would like to share 2 muffin recipes that I tried quite sometime. Actually I almost forgot about the muffin. I'm still excited about HUISTEN BOSCH TRIP! Still on my mind till now, the tulips, the windmill & everything about the flowers..

The first recipe is CHOCOLATE MUFFIN from http://www.cacaoweb.net/chocolatemuffins.html]CACAOWEB . I gave it to my tester here, my neighbours. They said it's sedap! But it's depends on individual taste actually! My neighbours here is chocoholic one! Just like me!



CHOCOLATE MUFFIN (CACAOWEB)

Ingredients
2 eggs
1 cup (200 g) sugar
1 cup (130 g) all-purpose flour
6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
2/3 cup (160 ml) milk
2/3 cup (160 g) butter - melted
4 oz (120 g) semisweet chocolate chips (optional)

Method

1. Preheat oven to 350 deg F (Gas mark 4 or 180 deg C).
2. Grease 6 large muffin tins or cups (paper muffin bake cups are recommended).
3. Beat the eggs with sugar, mix with flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, vanilla and milk.
4. Fold in the melted butter.
5. Add chocolate chips (please note that these might end up in the bottom of the muffin).
6. Bake at 350 degrees until a until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, approximately 30 minutes.

The Chocolate Muffins may be served hot or at room temperature.


***For me, I prefer to sprinkle the chocolate chips on top of the batter before baking. If I mix with the batter, the chips will sink.
***I used vegetable oil. Vegetable oil less fat than butter!
*** I beat the eggs untill the color pales.

MUFFIN PISANG COKLAT (KAK LIZA)

Bahan A [Ayakkan]
2 cawan tepung gandum
2 s/b serbuk koko
1 s/k soda bikarbonat
1 s/k baking powder
Sedikir garam

Bahan B
1 cawan pisang emas/berangan lecek
1 cawan minyak
11/2 cawan gula perang
2 biji telur [pukul sedikit ngan garfu]


Cara
1. Ayakkan bahan A dan masukkan dalam mangkuk.
2. Masukkan bahan B dan kacau rata.
3. Masukkan dalam acuan kecil atau loyang.
4. Kukuskan selama 30 minit atau sehingga masak.

HUISTEN BOSCH TULIP FESTIVAL

HUISTEN BOSCH ni masih dalam NAGASAKI PREFECTURE. Saya duduk di nagasaki central, berdekatan dengan GLOVER GARDEN, nak ke HUISTEN BOSCH ni ambik masa 1 1/2 jam jugak perjalanannya.. HUISTEN BOSCH ni macam taman orang Belanda pasal banyak bunga tulip, kincir angin & bangunan yang memaparkan ciri-ciri orang Belanda. Ini kali kedua saya pergi kesini, kali pertama masa bulan May tahun lepas, dah nak habis spring sebenarnya waktu tu. Kebetulan tahun ni saya pergi ada pesta tulip selama sebulan, bermula pada 10/3/07. Saya pergi 11/3/07 iaitu, sehari selepas pesta tulip ini dilancarkan, jadinya memang ramai orang. Kebetulan pulak cuaca elok pasal tak hujan, tapi sejuk betul pasal suhu 3 - 4C, angin kuat. Bebudak menggigil-gigil. Tapi kitorang mak bapak ni tak peduli dah kesejukan tu pasal asyik sangat tgk bunga2 tulip ni. Cakap jer nak bentuk apa, nak warna apa, semuanya ada! Kalau diikutkan hati, mau jer ku cabut2 bunga2 tu masuk kedalam beg ku..hehehe... Tapi tulah, bak kata orang tua2, IKUTKAN HATI,MATI!

Oreo cheese cake my version!

HAPPY 5TH ANNIVERSARY SYED & SITI

Sepotong oreo cheese cake!
I made this cake for anniversary day, was on 28th February. It's our 5th anniversary. Tulah masa cepat berlalu, rasanya macam baru jer nikah semalam..hehe.. Actually, before this we only celebrated the first year of marriage, then we never got a chance to do so.. My husband busy, me busy & after the children were born, we really got busy because the children's gap age is only 1 year, then we forgot about our anniversary date. Since this is the 5th years, I've decided to bake a cake & make my husband's favourite dish, LASAGNA!

The cheese cake recipe actually I followed the basic cheese cake recipe from the back of PHILLADELPHIA CREAM CHEESE packaging : 500gm cream cheese + 3 eggs + 3/4 cup sugar + 1 tsp vanilla essence. After made a few research on cheesecake recipes, I've decided to add 3 more ingredients, that is oreo cookies, whip cream & all-purpose flour.

OREO CHEESE CAKE

For the crust:
14-18 1 side pieces of oreo cookies - no cream!
50gm butter - melted
***Crush the oreo cookies to a crumb (Up to u, fine or a bit coarse).
*** Mix the butter to crushed cookies thoroughly and put on the greased removable base cake pan.
***Spread the cookies and press the cookies with aluminium foil or anything just to make the surface is even/flat.
***Put the cake pan in the fridge for at least 15 minutes, to let the cookies set.

For the cream cheese batter:
500gm cream cheese - I used philladelphia
3/4 cup of castor sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence
200ml whip/fresh cream
3 tablespoon all-purpose flour

Method :

1. Beat the cream cheese with sugar until smooth & fluffy.
2. Add egg, 1 by 1, beat until smooth again.
3. Add vanilla essence, whip/fresh cream & all-purpose flour.
4. Beat until smooth.
5. Pour the batter on the cookies crust.
6. Bake for 50-60 mins on 160C.
7. Take it out from oven, let it cool in the cake pan for about 1 hour, then put inside the refrigerator for at least 3 hours to let it set.

***Kalau takde removable base pan tu leh ganti dgn loyang biasa, griskan dgn butter, alas dgn aluminium foil 2 lapis..
***Saya tak bakar cara bain marie , cara saya,letakkan satu loyang yang berisi air panas di bawah loyang cheese cake cake ni.. ni saya belajar dari rinnchan..


Bagi saya bila cheese cake letak tepung & whip cream ni, takdelah rasa muak sgt cheesenya.. Kalau nak kurangkan cream cheesenya pada 250gm pun ok gak...

I've been tagged by RINCHANN, ROSLEENDA & FIZAN.. huhu...sampai 3 orang sekali, memang tgh tunggu pun sapa tag kita lagi & sekali tulis jelah..nak memikirkan yang 6 ni pun dah buat kita duduk depan komputer ni berjam.. Anyway to rinchann, kak leen & fizan, tq for tagging me! Here is the answer;

>6 WEIRD THINGS ABOUT ME!

1. I love to bake, but not to cook! Suruhlah buat kek apa laju jer, tapi kalau suruh masak, alahai....slow jer ke dapur tu...

2. Kari saya kejap jadi kejap tak! Pelik betul saya perkara yang ni, rasanya bahan & cara yang sama saya buat tapi boleh pulak kejap jadi kejap tak...

3. I liked to go travelling, but, I don't like the long travelling hours! Memang suka jenjalan, naik kapal terbang ke, kete ke, tapi tak suka duduk dlm kete/kapal terbang berjam-jam... Kalau boleh nak sampai ke tempat yang dituju tu sekelip mata macam I dream of jeanie tu...ahaaaa

4. I love to pinch my cat's cheek! Orang cubit pipi budak, kita cubit pipi kucing..hehe...geramlah! Debab lak tu kucingku...

5. I always ter-overbaked/overcooked my food. Asyik2 terbakar/termasak lebih masa, padahal selalu buat masakan tu... Especially my pizza!

6. I love to watch cartoon movies, kid's movies & folk's tales (cerita dongeng) like THE WIZARD OF OZ, NEVERENDING STORIES, etc.... --> werid ke? hehe..



Sori yer rinchann & kak leen pasal lambat sgt jawab soalan tag ni! Saya takkan tag sesapa lagi pasal saya tgk semua dah kena dah & malas nak tag orang pun.. So..selamatlah korang yer....
