Kurma ayam & Ultimate Chocolate Cake(kak yong)

Kurma ayam
Ultimate Choc Cake
 
Kurma ayam

Ayam - 1/2 ekor, dibersihkan
Bawang besar - 1 (dimayang halus)
Bawang putih - 3 ulas (dimayang halus)
Halia - 2cm (dimayang halus)
Rempah penumis - kayu manis, bunga lawang, buah pelaga
Serbuk rempah kurma - 2 peket kecil (I used adabi)
Serbuk jintan putih - 1 sudu kecil
Serbuk rempah sup adabi - 3/4 sudu kecil (nak kasi wangi)
Sedikit jus asam jawa
Kentang - dibelah 4 atau 6

Cara:-

1. Tumis bawang besar, bawang putih, halia & rempah penumis sampai agak garing.
2. Serbuk kurma, serbuk jintan putih & serbuk sup disatukan, dicampur sedikit air hingga jadi pes.
3. Masukkan pes ini setelah bawang2 tadi garing, kecilkan api, biarkan hingga rempah masak dan naik minyak.
4. Masukkan sedikit jus asam jawa, lebih kurang, 1/4 cawan, kacau rata dan biarkan sebentar.
5. Masukkan ayam, kacau rata, kemudian kentang, dan akhir sekali air secukupnya, ikut cair yang dikehendaki.
6. Masaklah hingga ayam masak & kentang empuk, perasakan dengan garam, jika suka, campurkan dengan sedikit susu segar/santan bila telah mendidih. ( saya letak bila last, kemudian biarkan hingga mendidih, tutup api)



Ultimate Chocolate Cake(kak yong)

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups white sugar
3/4 cup cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup vegetable oil (i substitute it with butter)
1 cup milk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup hot, strong coffee

1. In a large bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and baking soda. 2. Add the oil, milk, eggs, and vanilla, mix until smooth. Stir in the hot coffee last. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
3. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.

***I made the frosting by melting 1 bar of cooking choc with butter and mixed it with 4tbsp of condensed milk. After icing the cake with it, i sprinkled white choc chips on top of the cake to make it more presentable



Notes***
1. Resepi copy & paste jer dari kak yong.
2. For the topping, I beat fresh cream,sprinkle some castor sugar & sifted cocoa powder.
3. Any cake, bila guna air panas, mesti teksturnya jadi mcm kek gula hangus.
4. The taste is good too, baru jer iced semalam dah hilang separuh kek tu, ingatkan nak kasi neighbour sebelah sikit, my sisters suka...
5. Resepi ni dah lama dah copy, tapi baru semalam ada kesempatan nak buat, lupalah pulak..
